Meet the only Vancouver School Board Candidate Running to Teach Kids About Coding
Farrokhi (last person on the ballot) is a web developer, passionate about technology, who is seeking a seat on the Vancouver School Board to ensure Vancouver's students stay current with technological advancements. She believes coding will one day be one of the most important forms of expression and communication.
Fairnia Farrokhi has a double major from the University of British Columbia, in Combined Math and Economics, and International Relations. She has a Certificate in Technical Web Design from BCIT, where she was recognized with distinction. She has a background in project management, in mining and construction, and is currently working as a freelancer building custom web and desktop applications. In her spare time, she mentors at Canada Learning Code events because she believes everyone can benefit from learning to code.
